Take idli rice, raw rice, poha, Whole urad dal, Basmati rice and fenugreek seeds.

Wash twice and soak together for 3 hrs.

Grind in to fine smooth batter in mixie or wet grinder.

Add salt and enough water and mix thoroughly with clean hand, batter should be in flowing consistency.

Allow to ferment for 8-10hrs.

after fermentation the batter should like this, as doubles in volume.

Pour the ladle full of batter in hot appam pan (appachatti).

Immediately rotate the pan like this to spread the batter as thin in outside and little thick in middle.

Forming lots of bubbles shows batter nicely get fermented.

Cover and cook in medium flame for 2 minutes. Do not add sprinkle any oil.

Make a flower shaped appam like this to attract kids.

Appam turns in to crispy around edges and fluffy in middle portion.
