To make base gravy heat some oil in a pan. Add chopped onions ,sauté the onions are translucent add Garlic, Ginger(you can also use 1 Tbsp. of ginger garlic paste) & cashew nuts and sauté it for a minute. Do not add too much of cashews as this may change the taste of the gravy. Then add chopped tomatoes and cook until the tomatoes turns into a paste or until soft.

Add the paneer in hot water for few minutes it will become soft.

Once the mixture cools down transfer it to a blender and grind it to a smooth paste...This is the base gravy.

Heat the pan with 3 tbsp. butter, add the Onion Tomato Puree and mix well.

Then add Garam masala powder, red chili powder & roasted cumin powder. I have used Kashmiri chili powder to get a nice color, if you are using regular chili powder please reduce the amount of chili powder to 1 tsp.

Cook the masala in medium flame for about 4 minutes until oil separates.

Now add required Milk. Cover and let it simmer for 1-2 minutes on a medium heat.

Now add fresh cream mix it well.

Add paneer & crushed kasuri Methi ,Gently mix the paneer with the gravy and again cover and cook for 2-3 minutes on a medium heat.

add little sugar it will enhance the taste.

Finally add chopped coriander leaves then switch off the flame.
