This Paneer masala recipe a creamy base of onions, tomatoes and cashews with Paneer. Paneer is an awesome side-Dish had along with Naan, chapati, dosa & roti and also goes excellent with pulao. This dish is made Paneer /Cottage Cheese blend together in a creamy buttery base. This recipe can be made very easily and too quick. This is a famous north Indian dish often had in restaurants all around the world.
This Paneer Butter Masala is tastes exactly like the one at your favorite restaurant, It has a creamy tomato-based sauce. It has a rich curry made with butter, cashews and cream & it is pairs well with naan or rice. There is a generous amount of butter and fresh cream used which makes it mild sweet and spicy curry. How to make Paneer Butter Masala Recipe

To make base gravy heat some oil in a pan. Add chopped onions ,sauté the onions are translucent add Garlic, Ginger(you can also use 1 Tbsp. of ginger garlic paste) & cashew nuts and sauté it for a minute. Do not add too much of cashews as this may change the taste of the gravy. Then add chopped tomatoes and cook until the tomatoes turns into a paste or until soft.

Add the paneer in hot water for few minutes it will become soft.

Once the mixture cools down transfer it to a blender and grind it to a smooth paste...This is the base gravy.

Heat the pan with 3 tbsp. butter, add the Onion Tomato Puree and mix well.

Then add Garam masala powder, red chili powder & roasted cumin powder. I have used Kashmiri chili powder to get a nice color, if you are using regular chili powder please reduce the amount of chili powder to 1 tsp.

Cook the masala in medium flame for about 4 minutes until oil separates.

Now add required Milk. Cover and let it simmer for 1-2 minutes on a medium heat.

Now add fresh cream mix it well.

Add paneer & crushed kasuri Methi ,Gently mix the paneer with the gravy and again cover and cook for 2-3 minutes on a medium heat.

add little sugar it will enhance the taste.

Finally add chopped coriander leaves then switch off the flame.
Note
- You can also add a tbsp of cream on the top to get a creamy texture
- Instead of paneer you can add peas or califlower.
