It was one of my interesting experiments and it turned out to be very tasty. Planning to make adai, after preparing batter, think to make paniyaram from this batter. Many bloggers are post this recipe. Really, I want to try on my own. It was nice and crunchy. We all loved it. It is one of the brainy ways to make the kids to eat a protein rich breakfast. Sure to be a hit with kids, as they always like to eat paniyaram. You can also say that, make this recipe by left over adai batter. This is perfect evening snacks recipe for kids

Ingredients

How to make Kara Paniyaram Recipe
To prepare adai paniyaram batter

To prepare paniyaram batter, take idli rice, chana dal, toor dal, moong dal and urad dal.

Mix all ingredients, wash twice soak about 2 hrs.

While grinding add red chillies, fennel seeds, garlic cloves, and natural sea rock salt.

Grind all ingredients in mixie in to smooth batter.

Allow to ferment for 4-5 hrs. to make paniyaram.

Add chopped onions.

Add handful of chopped drumstick leaves or coriander leaves.

Add grated coconut.

To prepare coconut chutney, add grated coconut, green chillies, roasted chana dal.

To this add small onions or little ginger and natural sea rock salt.

Grind in to thick smooth chutney.

To tempering, add mustard seeds, curry leaves and Hing powder in hot oil. Add to coconut chutney.

Heat the paniyaram pan with oil.

Pour paniyaram batter in 3/4th level of the mould.

Flip and cook until both sides become fluffy and golden color.

The adai batter paniyaram is ready to serve with coconut chutney.
