How to make idli sambar recipe

First pressure cook the items given under ‘To pressure cook for sambhar’ table in order. Once its cooked smash using beater or blender.

Roast the items given under ‘Roast for fresh sambhar powder’ table in order. Roast it in medium flame until turns light golden color.

To prepare the sambhar heat the kadai with oil, temper with the items given under ‘To temper’ table in order.

Add peeled onion and fry till golden.

Add cook & smashed tomato & onion mix(pressure cooked one) with 1/2 cup water ,boil it about 4-5 minutes in medium flame.

Add 1 Tbsp. Fresh sambar powder(Remaining keep it for next preparation)

mix the 2 Tbsp. besan flour / Roasted Chana dal with 1 cup water the add it in sambhar.

Boil about 5 minutes in medium flame.

Finally add chopped coriander leaves then switch off the flame.

serve with Idli, dosa, vada & Pongal too.
Note
- After add besan flour mix the sambar will be thick so add required water, if its very thick add boiling hot water don't add room temperature water.
- Instead of besan flour add roasted Chana dal (pottukadalai) flour too.
