Instant Wheat Appam Recipe


Its very easy to make and delicious too with flavorful wheat flour and jaggery in it. You can make it for snacks too.

Sometimes I feel like eating sweet made out of jaggery, this version of appam made with wheat flour gives me a quick fix for that.

Wheat flour appam is mostly made for festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi, Krishna Jayanthi and karthigai Deepam.

We can make this Appam in a instant way using Wheat flour, banana, jaggery and cardamom. Wheat flour Appam is a quick and easy to make perfect Prasad!

Instant Wheat Appam Recipe

We can make this Appam in a instant way using Wheat flour, banana, jaggery and cardamom. Wheat flour Appam is a quick and easy to make perfect Prasad!



Off On

  1. In a large  bowl  add wheat flour & rice flour. 

  2. Now add cardamom and salt.

  3. Mix it well altogether.

  4. Take sauce pan add jaggery & water and allow the jaggery to melt completely. Once the jaggery melts completely .Next, Using a tea strainer, strain the jaggery juice and add it to the appam mixture.

  5. Mix thoroughly using whisk. 

  6. In a blender jar add banana grind like fine mixture with out water. Than add in to the appam mixture.

  7. Now add required water to adjust the consistency of the appam batter. The consistency like dosa batter consistency.

  8. Heat oil in kadai, when oil is hot, pour the batter with help of a ladle.Fry the appam in medium flame.

    • Slightly splash oil over the appam it will rise up, flip over fry until golden brown on both the sides. Remove, repeat to finish batter.
  9. Yummy & tasty instant wheat appam is ready to serve.



  • The batter should be thick like Idli batter consistency.
  • Use deep curved ladle four pouring the batter.
