Godhumai Rava Adai | Broken Wheat Rava Adai

pinit

Cracked Wheat/Broken wheat is known as “samba Godhuma rava” in Tamil, “Dalia” in Hindi. It is also known as Lapsi rava. It is a good source of fiber. It is low in calories and loaded with nutrients.  Adai is similar to a Dosa but slightly thicker and heavier. We generally make adai with rice and dal but I have tried with samba rava. The adai can be even more healthy by adding some vegetables to this. a healthy, quick no-ferment breakfast recipe made with different types of lentils and broken wheat (wheat Rava). here doesn’t include any rice. I used broken wheat or samba rava in the place of rice and it came out very well. weekly once ill prepare normal adai with aviyal (multi vegetables with coconut paste). one of the favorite dinners for my family. adding drumstick leaves to kids in their food is compulsory, as its good source of iron and more health benefits. if we preparing drumstick leaves side dish, they won’t eat much but here I can give what I planned. If no time to prepare aviyal it goes well with simple coconut chutney. here I prepare wheat rava adai with chana dal and toor dal with ketti chutney (thick chutney). mostly this type of ketti chutney no need any tempering.
