Today i share easiest version of plain kurma, in future we going to see lot of kurma varieties. this kurma is easy to make tasty to eat, do try this kurma for Idli & dosa and share your feedback with me. This kurma goes well for Idli, dosa, appam, chapathi ,idiyappam and poori. But It doesn’t suit for rice . This kurma tastes similar to it but its an even more simplified version. I loved the ease of this recipe and the mild masala flavor which is ideal for my family. Everyone loved it. I have tried it thrice so far. I have also made in bulk for my guests. They too liked it.

How to make Idli Kurma Recipe

First Add all ingredients under 'To Pressure cook ' in the pressure cooker. mix it well.

Pressure cook about 2-3 whistle in medium flame.

Meanwhile prepare coconut masala paste for that take a mixie jar.

Add all ingredients under 'To prepare coconut masala paste'

Grind like a fine paste.

Once the pressure is released open the cooker.

Drain the water from the masala.

Once the onion & tomato masala mixture is cool down, blend using blender or smasher.

once it smashed well add cooked water also in to it.

Heat the pan with oil.

once the oil is hot Then temper with the items given under ‘To temper’ table in order.

Add chopped onion, onion until turns transparent.

Now add grounded onion tomato paste with 4-5 cup water.

Add required salt mix it well.

cook about 4-5 minutes in medium flame.

Now add grounded coconut masala paste with little water.

Cook another 1-3 minutes.

Finally add chopped coriander leaves then switch off the flame.

Yummy tiffin kurma is ready to serve.
Note
- Instead of poppy seeds you can add extra 2 cashew nuts
- after adding coconut masala paste don't cook more than 3 minutes.
